Die folgenden Bewerbungsunterlagen für Studienaufenthalte in Nordamerika haben uns zwei Leser freundlicherweise zur Verfügung gestellt.
Es handelt sich um ein Bewerbungsschreiben für ein Auslandssemester in Kanada sowie eine sogenannte Academic Recommendation, das Empfehlungsschreiben eines deutschen Professors für einen Studienaufenthalt in den USA.
| Application for a foreign term in Ottawa Dear Sir or Madam, according to the information given by the foreign office there is a university place available at the University of Ottawa for the winter term 2003. As I set out in my curriculum vitae I am studying business with emphasis on accounting and taxation. After my apprenticeship in a tax consultants, accountants, and lawyers partnership in conjunction with the »Berufsakademie Weserbergland« I decided to extend my knowledge by achieving senior level qualifications at the University of Paderborn. I would particularly welcome the opportunity of studying abroad in order to improve my language skills as well as to master the challenge of a foreign country and a different business environment. Studying in an English speaking country would be also very important for the main subject I have chosen. In a few years, there will be an important change in the German accounting rules: any business has to change from the German »HGB rules« to the Anglo-American »IAS« or »US-GAAP«. » Fortsetzung |

» Fortsetzung I would welcome the chance to take a class in international accounting abroad in order to prepare myself for this change. After collecting and reading information, the capital seems to be the most interesting and worth seeing city in Canada. Also, the University of Ottawa seems to integrate foreign students particularly well.Therefore, I am highly interested in studying in Ottawa. Empfehlung eines deutschen Hochschullehrers für einen Auslands-Aufenthalt an der University of Georgia in Athens, USA.
For presentation to the University of Georgia, Athens For his end of course undergraduate oral examination covering the basic knowledge needed for graduate level study in geography, Mr. Kocher demonstrated his ability to synthesize and analyze information effectively and to present it in a concise and clear manner. In his graduate level course he wrote in collaboration with another student a 25 page paper on urban development problems in capital cities in Central America. This paper demonstrated to my satisfaction that Mr. Kocher knows how to gather and collect information, present it in a clear and logical structure, as well as write it in a scientific but readable style. He is also particularly skilled at justifying his arguments with pertinent information. |
