Especially, for McK, RB, Stern Stewart, SMC, definitely go for HHL. OC&C and OW, are among the most popular employers as well, though to a less extent. Alumni and students of every class work or intern(ed) with those firms.
Some insights:
McK hosts on-campus and off-campus events for every class. RB and SMC did on-campus interviews, recently. One strategy course is held by RB represenatives exclusively - or as in the past by Mr Schwenker himself. McK has close ties to HHL as they drafted the revival of the school and its teaching approach themselves, mandated by the state of Saxony. However, keep in mind that it's mostly best-in-class people who go there. In addition, if your high school GPA performance was average your chances are close to zero, despite the HHL brand name.
Don't know about other schools, though. I know that EBS has also close ties to McK. Also ZS Associates. WHU and HSG place extraordinarily well with BCG and Bain. WFI with RB, CTG, Goetz and LEK. In general, almost any school with university status in Germany, will not weigh down your chances to place a job other with top-tier consultancies as long as your profile and personality are in line with their requirements.
However, as HHL student, I consider the M.Sc. programme as one of the best programmes to prepare you for consulting. Frequently structuring cases, live consultancy projects with real firms as part of the curricullum and a fucking strong work ethic would be the first three aspects to describe features of the programme. In contrast, decent public schools will educate you better scientifically or provide you with better skills suited for a research career.
