Goethe University Frankfurt, Master in Management or Master in Money and Finance - application / admission

Dear Friends.

I am from Uzbekistan and applying to the Goethe University to the above two programs. Could you please evaluate my profile and tell what chances of admission do I have?

Bachelors Degree in Banking and Finance from University of Wales. Uni-assist converted my grades into 2.0
GMAT - 640 with 52% in quant
Internships in Tashkent
DAAD scholarship
Executive of Student Council during my Bachelor studies.

If my calculations are correct, for the Master in Management I got 3.54 points approximately. Is that enough to be admitted to the Finance track? And is my profile enough to get into Money and Finance?

I am sorry to tell you that your profile might not be enough for both programs.
For the Master in Money and Finance surely. They calculate it a little bit different than for the Master in Management (and as you did above). Your Quant. 52% is not even close.

For the Master in Management, German students need next to 4,0. If you have above 3,9, than you might have a chance. Nevertheless, I would still encourage you to apply for the Master in Management as since this year they also offer some spots for foreign students. These spots differ from the regular one as you will only have English class and just can choose between the Accounting and Finance Major. I think you a have a good chance since not many know about this new feature of the program. Good luck!

Sorry, but you have no chance to get in the M.Sc. Money and Finance Program.

And you also don't have good chances for the other programs. But apply anyway! Who knows.

There is no way on earth that you get into the M.Sc. Money and Finance, you don't need to apply. And I'm afraid the odds for the other Master Programms are also bad, you usually need to have a GPA of 1.9 and below (german scale) to get an overall score above 4.0 (goethe scale), the cut-off last year was 4.15. But apply for the M.Sc. International Management anyway, the might offer some additional spots for international students.

Hey,
I got my admission in mid June, which was the first round and we had to immatriculate by end of last month. If you still haven't got an admission, I wouldn't be to hopeful. The late admissions should have gone out by now.

P.S.: I applied in the second round and admission results will be knownt after mid-August and by the end of August, according to MMF program coordinator.

Just wait a few years and then you will realize that Goethe will excel especially in fields of Economics and Finance.
The whole master program is relatively new and demonstrates an excellent development.

Look at the newly published ARWU 2018: Goethe University of Frankfurt is ranked as number 1 German University and number 51-75 globally in Finance. Moreover, some modules of MIEEP and MMF are very unique and not taught at any other University in the world.
By the way today I got admission from both programs and happy for that so much. Good luck to all of You wherever You are studying or working at.

My profile:

Exchange: 1 year in Netherlands
GRE: 170 Quantitative (96th), 159 Verbal (83th), AWA4.5 (81th)
Experience: 1.5 years in a major international bank in compliance, as well as three internships locally.

Hello guys, in the GOETHE International Management page you have a calculator which gives you a score.

https://www.wiwi.uni-frankfurt.de/en/study/prospective-students/master/master-in-international-management/selection-process.html

After putting my data in there i get an admission score of 7.2, is that good or bad?

I have nothing to compare it too, i am curious if some data about previous year scores exist so i know my chances.
