Koeln CEMS/Frankfurt MMF/Mannheim MMBR & MMM for a international student
Hello guys! Sorry for writing in English. I am a Chinese student and just started to learn German.
Recently I received several offers, including
- CEMS at UoC
- MMF at Universität Frankfurt a.M.
- MMBR (finance track) at Universität Mannheim
- MMM at Universität Mannheim
I get a lot of information from this forum but the situation for international students is different, especially when they cannot speak fluent German, so I really want to get some more suggestions from you guys.
Related to me:
- bachelor in business administration in China,
- one-year exchange in GE master program (corporate finance major) in France
Actually it is also about choosing the major for me.
It seems that it is more easy to find a job related to finance than management, but I don't like finance and I think it is not suitable for me even after I finished a set of specialized courses and did an internship in finance. On the other hand, since I have already studied one-year master courses in France (pretty practical), I want to learn some hard core courses to prepare for work, then MMBR seems to be a right choice?
For management, CEMS seems to be more friendly to international students? CEMS includes a business project which can be regarded as an internship, and that is important because at the beginning it is hard to find an English internship. Regarding the city, I think they offer comparable working opportunities (given Mannheim is close to Frankfurt, more finance-related job). Unfortunately, both Mannheim and Koeln is rarely known by Chinese HR and in Germany they enjoy similar reputation, so there is no much different considering the fame.
It is really a hard choice. Looking forwards to your opinion, thanks a lot!
